NIO House

On March 23rd, NIO house opened its first showroom in the Netherlands, in Rotterdam.

The location of the electric car manufacturer at the Meent 80-84 was designed by the Rotterdam architectural firm MVRDV. The interior is inspired by the rugged and daring character of the city of Rotterdam and the refined aesthetics of the NIO brand. At Nio House you can experience the latest car models but also provides a welcoming place to stay. Work spots, the Nio café, a children’s hub, event area’s, it is all integrated.

The design incorporates a series of accent colours into its specialised spaces.

Alongside the crane table is a lounge space complete with blue furniture and a blue Merino rug; behind the main space are two meeting rooms with warm accents, including a Merino 20 mm in brick colour and the play space or ‘joy camp’ for children is completed in a bright yellow, a cosmopolitan rug of the city of Rotterdam. Next stops for NIO houses are Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
